Associate Chiropractor — 2027

Permanent part-time · approximately 0.8 FTE
Goodwood, South Australia
Onboarding from December 2026
Preferred two-year commitment

About the opportunity

The Chiropractic Domain is inviting Expressions of Interest for an Associate Chiropractor to join our established shared-care practice.

This role may suit a final-year student, new or recent graduate, or an experienced chiropractor whose approach aligns with—or can integrate into—our clinical and practice model.

The position offers structured support and mentoring from Dr Paula Stacey-Thomas, with the level of guidance, responsibility and autonomy tailored to the successful applicant’s experience, confidence and familiarity with the practice systems.

How You’ll Work and Contribute

You’ll work within the practice’s established systems across:

→ clinical assessment and chiropractic care
→ adjusting technique and patient flow
→ reports of findings and progress reviews
→ patient communication and education
→ shared-care handovers
→ documentation and practice-management systems

For newer chiropractors, structured mentoring, observation, feedback and practice will help build strong clinical and communication foundations. For experienced chiropractors, the focus will be on integrating confidently into our shared-care model while bringing existing strengths, experience and professional judgement to the team.

You will also be expected to contribute to the team, prepare for your responsibilities, respond constructively to feedback and take increasing initiative as your role develops.

Responsibility and Autonomy

Responsibility will reflect the successful applicant’s experience, readiness and familiarity with our systems.

A newer chiropractor may initially focus on wellness care, uncomplicated follow-ups, shared-care support and observation of key consultations, with responsibility increasing progressively over time. An experienced chiropractor may move more quickly into new patients, reviews and broader clinical responsibility once familiar with the practice model and shared-care systems.

What we are looking for

The successful person will bring:

→ coachability and openness to feedback
→ initiative and reliability
→ strong patient and team communication
→ willingness to work within and contribute to established systems
→ commitment to consistency within shared care
→ genuine care for patients and colleagues
→ professional judgement and accountability
→ a positive, adaptable attitude

Experience is welcome and valued. What matters most is alignment with our corrective and wellness-focused approach, commitment to shared care, and willingness to work collaboratively within an established team.

Employment framework

The proposed role is permanent part-time at approximately 0.8 FTE, plus superannuation.

Remuneration will be based on the applicable classification under the Health Professionals and Support Services Award, relative to the successful applicant’s qualifications, training and relevant experience.

The final roster, classification, commencement arrangements and employment terms will be confirmed before a formal offer is made.

The current employment framework also includes a six-month probation period, required professional registrations and compliance with clinic policies and procedures.

In addition to the base salary, opportunities for performance-based commission or bonuses may be available, recognising patient-base growth, contribution to the practice and increasing responsibility.

For the right interstate applicant, relocation assistance may also be considered.

Essential requirements

Applicants will need, or be eligible to obtain:

→ a recognised chiropractic qualification
→ AHPRA registration
→ professional indemnity and public liability insurance
→ eligibility to work in Australia
→ South Australian X-ray licensing, where required
→ relevant police and professional clearances

Expression of Interest

At this stage, we are inviting informal Expressions of Interest rather than requesting a complete formal application.

Suitable candidates may be invited to:

→ have a confidential introductory conversation
→ visit the clinic
→ meet the team
→ discuss professional goals, clinical philosophy and practice alignment
→ explore onboarding and relocation arrangements

Submitting an Expression of Interest does not constitute an offer of employment or commit either party to proceed.
